He shall bring it to the entrance of the tent of meeting, that he may be accepted before the LordHe shall lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him. Then he shall kill the bull before the Lord, and Aaron's sons the priests shall bring the blood and throw the blood against the sides of the altar that is at the entrance of the tent of meeting. Then he shall flay the burnt offering and cut it into pieces, and the sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire on the altar and arrange wood on the fire. And Aaron's sons the priests shall arrange the pieces, the head, and the fat, on the wood that is on the fire on the altar; but its entrails and its legs he shall wash with water. Its blood shall be drained out on the side of the altar. 16 He shall remove its crop with its contents[b] and cast it beside the altar on the east side, in the place for ashes. 17 He shall tear it open by its wings, but shall not sever it completely. And the priest shall burn it on the altar, on the wood that is on the fire. It is a burnt offering, a food offering with a pleasing aroma to the Lord.
    Laws for Grain Offerings

And he shall take from it a handful of the fine flour and oil, with all of its frankincense, and the priest shall burn this as its memorial portion on the altar, a food offering with a pleasing aroma to the LordBut the rest of the grain offering shall be for Aaron and his sons; it is a most holy part of the Lord's food offerings.
“When you bring a grain offering baked in the oven as an offering, it shall be unleavened loaves of fine flour mixed with oil or unleavened wafers smeared with oil. And if your offering is a grain offering baked on a griddle, it shall be of fine flour unleavened, mixed with oil. You shall break it in pieces and pour oil on it; it is a grain offering. And if your offering is a grain offering cooked in a pan, it shall be made of fine flour with oil. And you shall bring the grain offering that is made of these things to the Lord, and when it is presented to the priest, he shall bring it to the altar. And the priest shall take from the grain offering its memorial portion and burn this on the altar, a food offering with a pleasing aroma to the Lord10 But the rest of the grain offering shall be for Aaron and his sons; it is a most holy part of the Lord's food offerings.

You shall not let the salt of the covenant with your God be missing from your grain offering; with all your offerings you shall offer salt.
14 “If you offer a grain offering of firstfruits to the Lord, you shall offer for the grain offering of your firstfruits fresh ears, roasted with fire, crushed new grain. 15 And you shall put oil on it and lay frankincense on it; it is a grain offering. 16 And the priest shall burn as its memorial portion some of the crushed grain and some of the oil with all of its frankincense; it is a food offering to the Lord.

    Mark 1:29-2:12

    Jesus Heals Many
29 And immediately he[a] left the synagogue and entered the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. 30 Now Simon's mother-in-law lay ill with a fever, and immediately they told him about her. 31 And he came and took her by the hand and lifted her up, and the fever left her, and she began to serve them.
32 That evening at sundown they brought to him all who were sick or oppressed by demons. 33 And the whole city was gathered together at the door. 34 And he healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons. And he would not permit the demons to speak, because they knew him.
    Jesus Preaches in Galilee
35 And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he departed and went out to a desolate place, and there he prayed. 36 And Simon and those who were with him searched for him, 37 and they found him and said to him, “Everyone is looking for you.” 38 And he said to them, “Let us go on to the next towns, that I may preach there also, for that is why I came out.” 39 And he went throughout all Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and casting out demons.
    Jesus Cleanses a Leper
40 And a leper[b] came to him, imploring him, and kneeling said to him, “If you will, you can make me clean.” 41 Moved with pity, he stretched out his hand and touched him and said to him, “I will; be clean.” 42 And immediately the leprosy left him, and he was made clean. 43 And Jesus[c] sternly charged him and sent him away at once, 44 and said to him, “See that you say nothing to anyone, but go, show yourself to the priest and offer for your cleansing what Moses commanded, for a proof to them.” 45 But he went out and began to talk freely about it, and to spread the news, so that Jesus could no longer openly enter a town, but was out in desolate places, and people were coming to him from every quarter.
    Jesus Heals a Paralytic
And when he returned to Capernaum after some days, it was reported that he was at home. And many were gathered together, so that there was no more room, not even at the door. And he was preaching the word to them. And they came, bringing to him a paralytic carried by four men. And when they could not get near him because of the crowd, they removed the roof above him, and when they had made an opening, they let down the bed on which the paralytic lay. And when Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”Now some of the scribes were sitting there, questioning in their hearts, “Why does this man speak like that? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?” And immediately Jesus, perceiving in his spirit that they thus questioned within themselves, said to them, “Why do you question these things in your hearts? Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Rise, take up your bed and walk’? 10 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—he said to the paralytic— 11 “I say to you, rise, pick up your bed, and go home.” 12 And he rose and immediately picked up his bed and went out before them all, so that they were all amazed and glorified God, saying, “We never saw anything like this!”

  •   Psalm 35:17-28
    Psalm 35:17-28

    17
How long, O Lord, will you look on?     Rescue me from their destruction,     my precious life from the lions!
    18
I will thank you in the great congregation;     in the mighty throng I will praise you.
    19
Let not those rejoice over me     who are wrongfully my foes, and let not those wink the eye     who hate me without cause.
    20
For they do not speak peace,     but against those who are quiet in the land     they devise words of deceit.
    21
They open wide their mouths against me;     they say, “Aha, Aha!     Our eyes have seen it!”
    22
You have seen, O Lord; be not silent!     O Lord, be not far from me!
    23
Awake and rouse yourself for my vindication,     for my cause, my God and my Lord!
    24
Vindicate me, O Lord, my God,     according to your righteousness,     and let them not rejoice over me!
    25
Let them not say in their hearts,     “Aha, our heart's desire!” Let them not say, “We have swallowed him up.”
    26
Let them be put to shame and disappointed altogether     who rejoice at my calamity! Let them be clothed with shame and dishonor     who magnify themselves against me!
    27
Let those who delight in my righteousness     shout for joy and be glad     and say evermore, “Great is the Lord,     who delights in the welfare of his servant!”
    28
Then my tongue shall tell of your righteousness     and of your praise all the day long.

    Proverbs 9:13-18

    The Way of Folly
    13
The woman Folly is loud;     she is seductive[a] and knows nothing.
    14
She sits at the door of her house;     she takes a seat on the highest places of the town,
    15
calling to those who pass by,     who are going straight on their way,
    16
“Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!”     And to him who lacks sense she says,
    17
“Stolen water is sweet,     and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.”
    18
But he does not know that the dead[b] are there,     that her guests are in the depths of Sheol.
